"It will be a place 'where all will be equal in the saddle' and it will make many major differences in the lives of children and adults, according to several officials.
Designed by Darriel G. Mathis Designs, the new Manes & Miracles Equine-Assisted Therapy Center, Barn and Arena will be built on a 30.66-acre area at Chaffee Crossing north of Arkansas 22 and east of Barling and will provide services to children with special needs and veterans with a wide range of physical, mental, cognitive and emotional disabilities, said Jodi Kusturin, executive director and a physical therapist for Manes & Miracles. The 501 (c)(3) nonprofit center will specialize in therapeutic riding, hippotherapy and aquatic therapy to area children and veterans, she said."
At Manes and Miracles, a comprehensive treatment plan is developed that integrates the movement of the horse with traditional speech, physical, and occupational therapy treatment strategies to that therapeutic goals are achieved. We will offer a covered arena, a sensory trail, sensory/motor playground, trampolines, swings, zip line, aquatic therapy, and an indoor therapy clinic.
