Manes & Miracles is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. We provide therapeutic riding, and hippotherapy to those with a wide diversity of physical, cognitive, mental, and emotional disabilities.
Horseback riding mimics the human gait, therefore the rider shows improvement in posture, muscle control, sensory-motor skills, balance, and much more. Internally the rider makes progress towards self-awareness, self-confidence, self-discipline, and concentration. The horses' legs become those of the rider, giving them a feeling of freedom and mobility that they are unable to experience in other aspects of their lives. Almost always, these riders and animals establish a very strong bond allowing the rider to experience unconditional love, trust, and self-worth.

At Manes and Miracles, a comprehensive treatment plan is developed that integrates the movement of the horse with traditional speech, physical, and occupational therapy treatment strategies to that therapeutic goals are achieved.
Capital improvements include a 4,000 square foot equine-assisted therapy facility and a 14,400 square foot arena on 30 acres that was donated to Manes & Miracles by Cabaness Farms in Chaffee Crossing, Barling, Arkansas.
Manes and Miracles is currently serving 36 patients per week in our pilot program at a barn and arena that have been donated for temporary use. Our Vision: The vision of Manes & Miracles is to provide hippotherapy and adaptive riding for 90 - 100 patients weekly in a state of the art researched based therapy facility.

As a nonprofit organization we rely heavily on the generosity of caring individuals and service groups. Opportunities for volunteering are available and vary from assisting with horses and riders, data entry, odd jobs, helping with special events and fundraising activities, and other things as needed.
